My Time Zone: Privacy

Last updated 2026-08-18

My Time Zone is a menu-bar world clock. It keeps your cities, home zone, and settings on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics, and no tracking.

What stays on your Mac

Everything you configure, including your saved cities, home time zone, and display preferences, is stored locally in the app's own preferences. None of it is sent anywhere.

What leaves your Mac (direct-download version only)

If you bought My Time Zone directly (not from the Mac App Store), the app talks to our third-party licensing provider in exactly two situations:

That's the only data that ever leaves your Mac, and only for licensing. You can change your Mac's computer name in System Settings → General → About before activating if you'd rather it not include your name.

Payments

Direct purchases are handled by a third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record. Your payment details go to them, not to us.

Mac App Store version

The Mac App Store build contains no networking at all: it contacts no server and sends nothing. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.

This page is a plain-language summary, not a contract. Your use of the app is governed by the EULA. Questions: hello@designbymiz.com.
